What sets this recipe apart from the rest is the chili flakes! It adds the perfect amount of flavor and spice that is not overwhelming. I’m normally a “wimp” with spice but the chili flakes add the perfect zing! 😉
What is Italian Seasoning used for?
Italian seasoning is an aromatic seasoning that can be used for a wide variety of dishes, from spaghetti sauce, pasta salad and other pasta to garlic butter, meatballs, fish, seafood, and chicken. The possibilities are endless!
Italian Seasoning Blend
2 tablespoons of the following dried herbs/spices:
- basil, dried
- oregano, dried
- rosemary, dried
- marjoram, dried
- cilantro, dried
- thyme, dried
- savory, dried
- red pepper flakes
- combine basil, oregano, rosemary, marjoram, cilantro, thyme, savory and red pepper flakes. Optional: Blend in food processor for 1 minute, or until desired consistency(I personally like texture in mine).
- Store in airtight container
