Italian Seasoning Blend

My Italian seasoning blend is one of my favorite seasoning to use! I love adding it to recipes like my mini meatball soup or a tomato jam and herbed zucchini panini!

What sets this recipe apart from the rest is the chili flakes! It adds the perfect amount of flavor and spice that is not overwhelming. I’m normally a “wimp” with spice but the chili flakes add the perfect zing! 😉

What is Italian Seasoning used for?

Italian seasoning is an aromatic seasoning that can be used for a wide variety of dishes, from spaghetti sauce, pasta salad and other pasta to garlic butter, meatballs, fish, seafood, and chicken. The possibilities are endless!

Italian Seasoning Blend


2 tablespoons of the following dried herbs/spices:

  • basil, dried
  • oregano, dried
  • rosemary, dried
  • marjoram, dried
  • cilantro, dried
  • thyme, dried
  • savory, dried
  • red pepper flakes


  • combine basil, oregano, rosemary, marjoram, cilantro, thyme, savory and red pepper flakes. Optional: Blend in food processor for 1 minute, or until desired consistency(I personally like texture in mine).
  • Store in airtight container
