Caramelizing onions fast is incredibly easy to do, and as a result they add a burst of flavor when topped on burgers, steaks, soups and so much more.

Easy Caramelized Onions



How to slowly caramelize onions to bring out deep, rich, sweet flavor as the natural sugars in the onions caramelize.
- 1 yellow onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 tsp white granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
Halve, peel and thinly slice onion. heat a drizzle of oil in a medium to large pan on medium-high heat.
Add the onion and a pinch of salt and pepper. cook for 8-10 minutes stirring until lightly browned.
After 8-10 minutes, add 1 tsp sugar and 1/4 cup of water. Cook an additional 2-3 minutes until onions are caramelized and jammy. Turn off heat and transfer to bowl.
Enjoy!
