Scones are one of those recipes that some people tend to think are kinda bland. But when they’re made correctly, scones are actually super soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside! With this recipe you will make the best chocolate chip scones… in my opinion 🙂

My mom has been making these scones for breakfast for any holiday or birthday since I was a kid! Now its very special that I can pass this recipe off to anyone who needs an easy chocolate chip scone fix ❤️
Chocolate Chip Scones
1 3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
2/3 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup MELTED unsaltedbutter
1/3 cup chocolate chips or cranberries
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix everything(except chocolate chips) together in a bowl until combined. Then mix chocolate chips in.
2. Place a spoonful amount of the mixture on parchment paper (or you can flour the pan), space scones about 1 inch apart. I like to sprinkle sea salt on the top of each, but thats my preference.
3. Bake the scones at 400 degrees for about 13-17 minutes, until your scones have golden brown peaks. Please eat these warm 😋
